A farmer once
told me that, even after a lifetime of planting and harvesting, he was still
amazed to see new crops peek through the soil every spring. It confirmed God’s goodness, he said.
I get a similar feeling when I see someone start a new business during a weak
economy.Perhaps the reason is that out of desperation comes inspiration –
when people have nothing to rely upon but themselves, they tend to be very
creative.Opportunity abounds. In my hometown, I am thoroughly delighted by
the emergence of several new, locally-owned enterprises and the resurgence of
others by employment of more efficiency.
Cafes,
retail stores and other small businesses are indicators that our economy still
has a beating heart.They
broaden consumer choice and create markets within markets by offering new or
different products and services.Not
everyone will survive and others are likely to take their place, yet it’s very
possible for one of these acorns to
become an oak.
I wish only the best for “new growth”.

over."
